VOLUME 7, NUMBER 103
Friday, May 8, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

I sat down with the city manager this week to try to find out what’s going on at the Millpond Crossing housing development. Yesterday evening, I covered Philomath High’s impressive baseball victory over Cascade to clinch that series. We have a couple of news briefs — one about PYAC’s Fun in the Sun registration and one on Siuslaw National Forest rec fees. Plus, the softball team won in thrilling fashion, boys volleyball won at Toledo, girls tennis won at Woodburn and boys tennis won at home. In partner content, our mayor is quoted in an Oregon Capital Chronicle election story. (Sorry a little late this morning on the newsletter — a fire call in town has been a distraction. Look for news on that later today online). — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
