The Philomath Youth Activities Club is accepting registrations for Fun in the Sun, an all-day summer camp and child-care option for children entering first grade through age 12, the organization announced.
The camp runs 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays from June 17 through Aug. 21 with full-time care billed by the week ($170) and drop-in care billed by the day ($50). Registration forms must be received at least 24 hours in advance of a child’s first day of attendance.
The program features a variety of weekly themed activities, including sports, games, reading, swimming, field trips, science experiments, and arts and crafts. A detailed weekly itinerary will be provided to families at the start of each camp week, organizers said.
Families can register at any time throughout the summer. However, early registration is encouraged and those who sign up before May 15 will have the $25 registration fee waived.
PYAC emphasizes the importance of submitting complete registration information by May 22. While registration will remain open throughout the season, space is limited to 50 children per day, and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis — potentially resulting in waitlists for certain days.
