No injuries were reported in a rear-end collision that occurred yesterday morning. The latest Philomath Police Log and Philomath Fire and Rescue Calls are online. The city announced the “If I Were Mayor” contest winners. Philomath City Park’s gazebo needs a paint job. In sports, Philomath High’s baseball team took an important series-opening win. Boys tennis was at Sweet Home, girls tennis at Marist, boys volleyball at a tournament and softball at Stayton. We also have a letter to the editor, a death notice for Charles Holstine and partner content. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
