THURSDAY, APRIL 23

• 11:06 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 26 east of Rhododendron that took the life of Daniel Lee La Blue, 38, of Brightwood. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that La Blue was driving a westbound Kia Sorento when it crossed over the highway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. La Blue, the vehicle’s sole occupant, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

FRIDAY, APRIL 24

• 10:59 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a bicyclist on Highway 380 in Prineville that took the life of Monte Scott Greene, 57, of Prineville. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound Ford Expedition driven by Abigail Marie Hedges, 36, of Prineville, was traveling on Combs Flat Road (Highway 380) near Southeast Fifth Street when the vehicle struck Greene. Greene was pronounced deceased at the scene. Impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash and Hedges was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

SATURDAY, APRIL 25

• 10:59 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Highway 42 near Roseburg that took the life of Vivian Kuntz, 40, of Eugene. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a westbound Ford Focus driven by a 38-year-old Roseburg man was traveling with a green light on Highway 42 when it struck Kuntz, who was crossing from Grant Smith Road toward Highway 99 without a walk signal. Kuntz was pronounced deceased at the scene.

SUNDAY, APRIL 26

• 5:58 a.m. — Troopers responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on Interstate 84 just east of Hood River that took the life of Huner Clay Miller, 24, of Hermiston. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Miller was walking in the travel lane for an unknown reason when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling westbound in the slow lane near Hood River. A black Harley-Davidson motorcycle was found several miles east of the crash. However, it is unknown if Miller was associated with the motorcycle. Miller was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators are asking any witnesses or anyone with information to contact OSP Dispatch at 800-442-2068, or by calling *OSP (*677) from a mobile phone (reference case number SP26-135374).

MONDAY, APRIL 27

• 7:10 p.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 99E near Canby that took the life of Sharon Lyn Prentice, 71, of Hubbard. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound Kia Telluride driven by a 50-year-old Hubbard man failed to stop at the stoplight at South Barlow Road. A Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 47-year-old Canby man was in the southbound lane of South Barlow Road turning left northbound onto Highway 99E when it was struck on the driver’s side by the Kia. Prentice, a passenger in the Kia, was declared deceased at the scene. The Kia’s driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. A 47-year-old Aumsville woman and three juvenile passengers all in the Kia were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The Chevrolet’s driver and a 45-year-old male passenger were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29

• 1:52 a.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 214 in Marion County that took the life of Adrian Ramos Monroy, 18, of Salem. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Ramos Monroy was driving a southbound Subaru WRX when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. The vehicle continued down an embankment, came to a stop and caught fire. Ramos Monroy was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger, a 24-year-old Salem woman, was transported to an area hospital by Life Flight with serious injuries. A high rate of speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
