Philomath High headed over to Sweet Home on Monday afternoon to give that school an opportunity to host a boys tennis match in its first season of competition.
The matchup featured just one official varsity match with Philomath freshman Cameron Barlow defeating Sweet Home senior Ben Perry, 6-1, 6-0.
Sophomore Samuel Holroyd and freshman Liam Cole defeated Perry and senior Kyle Petrait, 6-0, 6-3, in what would be considered an exhibition match since Perry had already competed in singles.
Several other exhibition matches were arranged under pro-set scoring with Philomath winning all five singles matches and one of two doubles matches.
Philomath’s next match is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday at West Albany.
