VOLUME 7, NUMBER 96
Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Good morning, Philomath.
The Philomath High robotics students will be hosting a huge rummage and mattress sale this weekend, so it seemed like a good time to publish a feature on a fascinating group. We continue a series of election-related stories with an Oregon Capital Chronicle piece on the 4th Congressional District, which involves Rep. Val Hoyle and two challengers. In sports, I covered yesterday’s boys tennis match vs. North Marion and worked up a story on that team’s successes so far this season (I also posted a gallery). In girls golf, Isabelle Muir had a top-five showing at the Taft Invite. I also have a report on girls tennis at North Marion. This week’s Mount Union Stories features Bennett T. Jones, who passed in 1930. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
