The city’s Budget Review Committee will kick off the 2026-27 budget process Wednesday evening followed immediately by a special Philomath City Council meeting to consider bids for the long-anticipated water treatment plant project.

The committee meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Philomath City Hall. According to the agenda, the session will open with introductions before moving into a budget orientation presentation and a review of the budget calendar. The committee will then meet again on May 13.

The City Council will convene a special meeting at 7:30 p.m., or immediately following the Budget Review Committee meeting, whichever comes first. The council’s lone item on the agenda is discussion about invitation to bid responses for the water treatment plant project.

A public comment period will be available at the start of the council meeting.

Both meetings will be live-streamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
