Good morning, Philomath.

Philomath High’s boys soccer team finally played a home game yesterday and we have a photo gallery by Andy Cripe to go along with a writeup. The girls volleyball team and the girls soccer team were both in action at Newport. Registration is underway for a couple of running events — Lilly’s Lope for Hope here in Philomath and the Great Pumpkin Run, which starts in west Corvallis and includes a stretch in Philomath. We also have news briefs on a cooperative co-parenting class, the chamber of commerce and pile burning on the Siuslaw. Plus, the PSSS column returns after a summer break. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
