VOLUME 7, NUMBER 111
Wednesday, May 20, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

Election Night arrived and we had two pretty close votes — one in the Democratic primary for a county commissioner seat and the other involving a psilocybin ban in Philomath. We also have Oregon Capital Chronicle coverage of state results, including the overwhelming “no” on higher gas taxes and vehicle fees. We have an update on Philomath’s new speed radar signs, plus an obituary for Tyler Smouse, a preview of Thursday’s School Board meeting and the latest in the Mount Union Stories series.— Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
