Editor’s note: This log is based on information submitted to the media by Philomath Fire and Rescue:

FRIDAY, MAY 8

• 7:23 a.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 600 block of Main Street and responded with 10 personnel in two engines, a ladder truck, a rescue truck, two command vehicles and drone operators. Minutes after arriving on the scene, firefighters pulled a 72-year-old man from the house, who was determined to be deceased. No additional victims were found. The fire was brought under control by 7:50 a.m. See separate story for additional details about the fire.

• 9:13 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to provide mutual aid to the Corvallis Fire Department while crews were fighting a structure fire. Philomath responded with six personnel in an engine and a command vehicle. The crew was staged until released by command.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 12:53 a.m. (West Hills Road), 3:33 a.m. (Newton Street) and 5:45 p.m. (Main Street).

SATURDAY, MAY 9

• 10:24 a.m. — Emergency medical services personnel were dispatched to provide automatic aid to the Hoskins-Kings Valley Rural Fire Protection District for a one-vehicle rollover crash on Kings Valley Highway about one-third of a mile south of Beazell Memorial Forest. An 18-year-old man lost his life in the crash. Philomath’s response included four personnel in an engine and a command vehicle. See separate story for additional details about the crash.

SUNDAY, MAY 10

• No calls of public significance reported.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 5:34 a.m. (West Hills Road), 2:19 p.m. (North Eighth Street), 4:58 p.m. (South 13th Street) and 6:28 p.m. (Applegate Street).

MONDAY, MAY 11

• 5:07 a.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to provide automatic aid to the Monroe Rural Fire Protection District for a structure fire on Berg Drive south of Monroe. Philomath responded with six personnel in an engine and a command vehicle. The Philomath crew was canceled prior to arrival.

TUESDAY, MAY 12

• No calls of public significance reported.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 11:09 a.m. (Main Street).

WEDNESDAY, MAY 13

• 3:03 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a wire down at South 24th and Main streets.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 9:06 a.m. (North 19th Street), 9:52 a.m. (Applegate Street) and 10:23 a.m. (South 17th Street).

THURSDAY, MAY 14

• No calls of public significance reported.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 11:42 a.m. (College Street) and 6:15 p.m. (West Hills Road).
