FRIDAY, MAY 8
• 12:33 a.m. — Police found a male sleeping in Philomath City Park and advised of the park’s hours.
• 6:54 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a violation of an order at a location on North 19th Street. A report was taken.
• 10:03 p.m. — Police arrested Chamise Mae Hurd, 45, of Tidewater, on a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine in the 2500 block of Main Street. The woman was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
Other calls: Police responses included citizen assistance at 11:04 a.m. (Newton Street), wallet found at a credit union at 11:34 a.m. (Main Street) and a suspicious person reportedly looking in windows while walking through a housing complex at 12:14 p.m. (Newton Place). PPD reported one traffic stop.
SATURDAY, MAY 9
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 2:29 p.m. (Willowbrook Court), report of trespassing at 7:33 p.m. (South Eighth Street), dogs barking at 8:20 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a mental health situation at 8:21 p.m. (South 17th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 12:13 a.m. (North 11th Street and Pioneer Street). PPD reported three traffic stops.
SUNDAY, MAY 10
• 2:42 p.m. — Police arrested a 38-year-old Corvallis woman on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal trespass following an incident in the 600 block of Main Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a noise disturbance at 6:59 p.m. (North 12th Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 12:01 p.m. (Southwest Reservoir Avenue, Corvallis) and 2:19 p.m. (North Eighth Street). PPD reported three traffic stops.
MONDAY, MAY 11
• 9:14 a.m. — Philomath Public Works requested police assistance with the tow of a vehicle parked in a construction zone on South 11th Street. According to an incident report, the owner had said he would move the car by Monday but refused to do so. The vehicle was taken to a tow company’s lot in Corvallis.
• 12:04 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft from a business in the 1700 block of Main Street. A 37-year-old Corvallis woman was later arrested in the 400 block of Southwest Third Street in Corvallis on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft.
• 6 p.m. — Police arrested a 38-year-old Lebanon man at Pioneer Street and Sunshine Avenue on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a criminal citation.
Other calls: Police responses included a report of an abandoned vehicle at 9:31 a.m. (North 11th Street and Quail Glenn Drive). PPD reported one traffic stop.
TUESDAY, MAY 12
• 8:37 a.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Applegate Street and South 14th Street. No injuries were reported.
• 9:58 a.m. — Police responded to a citizen’s concern that a vehicle that had been posted on an Alsea Facebook page because it was reportedly following children was parked in front of the caller’s house on South 15th Street. Police determined that the vehicle was not the same one seen in the social media post and was unoccupied.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 8:18 a.m. (North 19th Street), motorist assistance at 9:51 a.m. (North 19th Street and Main Street), lost state-issued cellphone at 1:59 p.m. (North 15th Street), suicidal subject at 3:58 p.m., person yelling and screaming at 4:33 p.m. (College Street) and a man asking for money at 4:48 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 13
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a juvenile complaint at 10:02 a.m. (Chapel Drive), citizen assistance at 2:10 p.m. (Main Street) and assistance with a student situation at 3:52 p.m. (Newton Place). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 3:07 p.m. (South 24th Street and Main Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
THURSDAY, MAY 14
• 12:18 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Main Street and South 11th Street involving a dump truck and a passenger car. No injuries were reported.
• 3:43 p.m. — Police responded to a hit-and-run incident in the 1700 block of Main Street involving a semitruck that reportedly sideswiped a passenger vehicle without stopping to exchange information.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 4:37 a.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 3:17 p.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard, Corvallis) and 10:08 p.m. (Southwest Third Street, Corvallis). PPD reported two traffic stops.
