VOLUME 6, NUMBER 165
Thursday, August 14, 2025
Good morning, Philomath.
By the time you read this, I’ll be on vacation for a much-needed break. For the first time ever, I’m getting away from the business for a full seven-day stretch. I explain it all in this letter to readers. You’ll still receive newsletters on Friday and Saturday, and Tuesday and Wednesday next week while I’m out but they will not have any new content that was posted on the news site. Instead, I’ve chosen some of my favorite stories from past years that readers can revisit (or maybe, read for the first time). I’ll be back at my desk on Aug. 21. Thank you for understanding my need to get a full break from the day-to-day operation. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
