The city of Philomath is looking for two new volunteers to serve on its Park Advisory Board following recent resignations.
Rose Bricker resigned from the board on July 17 and Seth Williams stepped down on Aug. 1. City Manager Chris Workman expressed the city’s gratitude for their service and contributions to the community.
The city is accepting applications to fill the remainder of both unexpired terms. One position runs through Dec. 31, 2026, while the other extends to Dec. 31, 2027.
Philomath residents interested in supporting community parks and recreation initiatives have until 5 p.m. on Aug. 29 to submit their applications. Interviews and appointments will take place during the Philomath City Council meeting on Sept. 8.
The Park Advisory Board consists of seven volunteers who provide guidance to the City Council on park-related matters. The city is particularly seeking applicants who would be interested in helping coordinate the annual Music in the Park summer concert series.
