Good morning, Philomath.

The city is looking at partnering with an affordable housing developer to build an apartment complex at the corner of Main and North 20th. The Summit Summer Festival is coming Saturday and we have a preview. The Philomath Citizens’ Academy returns this year with a new approach for participants. Plus, we have an obituary for former resident Patricia Henderson, a sports brief about a basketball team that won a 3-on-3 tournament and the latest in the Mount Union Stories series. I’ve also included an item about active threat training that started at 7:30 this morning at our local schools — I received the info too late for yesterday’s newsletter. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
