VOLUME 7, NUMBER 83
Tuesday, April 14, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

We have a fair amount of news coming out of last night’s Philomath City Council meeting and we begin this morning with a 6-1 decision to vacate an alley near North Eighth. We also have an item on today being proclaimed Holocaust Remembrance Day in Philomath. The local seniors group will hear from Fire Chief Chancy Ferguson and Dr. David Grube about advance directives. Benton County Commissioner Pat Malone announced “Chats with Pat” sessions. The PHS track and field teams both won team titles at a Saturday meet. The baseball team dropped one at home to Junction City. Roman Robins had a round of 92 for the boys and Isabelle Muir came in with a 96 for the girls in golf meets at Mallard Creek. We also have the latest Philomath Police Log and the Philomath Fire and Rescue Calls. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
