VOLUME 7, NUMBER 116
Tuesday, May 26, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

The Benton County Historical Society is turning 75 years old and a 1950s-themed party is planned for Saturday at Philomath Museum (and it’s free, except the booze). The PHS track and field teams qualified several for this week’s state meet on Saturday while the girls won a ninth straight title. Firefighters quickly extinguished a wildfire near Botkin Road southwest of town. The School Board adopted the 2027-28 calendar after working through a Veterans Day situation. The Philomath City Council and the city’s Budget Review Committee will meet at City Hall on Wednesday. Plus, we have the latest Philomath Police Log and Philomath Fire and Rescue Calls.— Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
