VOLUME 7, NUMBER 129
Wednesday, June 10, 2026

Good morning, Philomath.

We have a couple of stories out of Monday night’s City Council meeting. Following a lengthy discussion about projects and costs, the council approved a capital improvement plan. On another matter, councilors got some work done toward a vision statement for a transportation safety plan. This week’s Mount Union Stories is about Ella Kilpatrick, who died in 1924. Take a look at today’s Philomath in Photos — nice scenic shot of the Marys River. I’m working ahead on several other stories that will be posted in the coming days and all of next week. I will be taking a break beginning Friday and will return to the office on June 22. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
