Editor’s note: This report is based on information submitted by the Philomath Police Department. All calls for service may not be included. The status of incidents might change after further investigation. Locations are approximate and may not be included if it could identify victims of certain crimes of a sensitive nature (sexual abuse, stalking, etc.). Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

FRIDAY, MAY 29

• 1:42 p.m. — Police responded to a report of reckless driving involving a man riding an e-bike with a small child in the area of Main Street and South 24th Street. Police reportedly checked the area throughout the day and weekend and were not able to locate the man.

Other calls: PPD reported 14 traffic stops.

SATURDAY, MAY 30

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a parking complaint at 12:24 p.m. (Melvill Cres), dog found at 4:16 p.m. (Applegate Street), report of a possible suicidal subject at 7:17 p.m., and a driving complaint at 8:52 p.m. (Highway 20). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 8:41 a.m. (Southwest Airport Avenue). PPD reported 12 traffic stops.

SUNDAY, MAY 31

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a parking complaint at 12:23 p.m. (Pioneer Street and North Eighth Street), dog found at 1:23 p.m. (Applegate Street), citizen assistance at 3:22 p.m. (Main Street) and a city ordinance violation at 9:38 p.m. (Paul J. Cochran Veterans Memorial Park). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 11:08 a.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.

MONDAY, JUNE 1

• 8:31 p.m. — Police arrested a 38-year-old Corvallis woman on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass in the 600 block of Main Street. The woman was cited and released.

Other calls: Police responses included a report of an abandoned commercial trailer at 12:17 p.m. (Landmark Drive), dog barking at 9:11 p.m. (Applegate Street), alleged trespassing at 9:38 p.m. (Main Street) and an argument at 10:58 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency at 2:19 p.m. (Highway 34). PPD reported two traffic stops.

TUESDAY, JUNE 2

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a mental health situation at 9:06 a.m., and an alleged city ordinance violation at 9:13 p.m. (Paul J. Cochran Veterans Memorial Park). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 4:01 a.m. (Southwest Country Club Drive, Corvallis). PPD reported three traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 11:46 a.m. (North Seventh Street), 911 hang-up call at 12:04 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a noncriminal issue at 2:02 p.m. (Highway 34). In addition, police assisted another agency at 5:54 p.m. (Southwest 35th Street, Corvallis). PPD reported four traffic stops.

THURSDAY, JUNE 4

• 9:39 a.m. — Police responded to a complaint regarding weeds and tall grass at a residence in the 400 block of North 12th Street. Police said it appears that the owner is deceased and the property is in foreclosure with a bank. Police left a hanger on the front door regarding a city ordinance violation. The city will reportedly look into the process of placing a lien on the property to clean it up if the issue is not addressed.

Other calls: Police responses included a domestic disturbance at 12:20 p.m. (North 19th Street), stakeout at 6:41 p.m. (North 19th Street) and a male yelling for help (no issues were found) at 8:28 p.m. (West Hills Road). PPD reported no traffic stops.
