The Tuesday String Band will bring a workshop, performance and jam session to the Marys River Grange on Wednesday.

The May 13 event runs from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the grange hall in Philomath. Admission at the door is offered on a sliding scale of $10 to $15.

The Monmouth-based bluegrass trio is made up of three young music professionals who met through the music program at Western Oregon University. The group is known for combining fast picking and onstage banter with string band arrangements of songs drawn from a range of musical styles.

The May 13 event pairs the band’s performance with a workshop component and an open jam, giving attendees a chance to play along or simply listen.

Additional information about the band can be found at tuesdaystringband.com.

Marys River Grange Hall is located at 24707 Grange Hall Road.
