A Philomath High boys tennis team showdown in doubles will occur Friday on the final day of the district tournament at Black Butte Ranch.

The top-seeded doubles team of Dylan Bell and Nick Stucki defeated opponents from Madras and Cascade on Thursday to move into the semifinals. Meanwhile, Judah Bacho and Mark Grimmer defeated a team from Madras and in the quarterfinals, knocked off the fourth-seeded pair from Stayton. With the way the bracket is configured, Bell and Stucki will go up against teammates Bacho and Grimmer. The situation guarantees that the Warriors will have a team in the championship match.
