Tennis girls pull off first with state team title

The Philomath High School girls tennis team’s top singles player and top doubles team both made the finals in Tuesday’s 4A State Showcase in Eugene and even though both came up short and settled for runner-up finishes, the Warriors scored just enough as a team to win the program’s first-ever state team title.
