The Philomath School Board plans to meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, for a special session.

According to a public meeting notice issued through the school district, agenda items include:

• Oregon School Employees Association agreement and memorandum of understanding.

• Report from Superintendent of Schools Susan Halliday.

Halliday’s superintendent reports over the last few months have revolved around the latest information connected to a possible reopening plan to get students back in classrooms. The Jan. 12 report would presumably include an update.

The school board will hold the meeting via Zoom. The public can watch the live feed on the school board’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PhilomathSchools.

The meeting has a later-than-usual start with school board members planning to gather earlier in the evening for an executive session. A topic in the closed meeting includes discussion of the superintendent’s annual evaluation and to “consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection.” The agenda also includes labor negotiations.

The school board’s regular monthly meeting is scheduled for Jan. 25.
