The Philomath Public Works Committee plans to meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at City Hall with an agenda that includes a discussion about residential sidewalks.
City staff had been asked to inventory properties within the city and compile a list of missing sidewalks that should be installed under city code and requirements. Several properties are listed in a 2020 survey that had been completed. The committee will talk about the issue and take a possible vote.
The committee is also scheduled for discussions about a League of Cities private service line warranty program and proposed bike path repairs.
The agenda also includes Tree Board business with a property owner’s request to remove a large Douglas fir in the planter strip on North 12th Street.
The Public Works Committee includes Chair and City Councilor Catherine Biscoe along with councilors Jessica Andrade and Ruth Causey. For citizens interested in watching but not comfortable with attending in person, the meeting will be live-streamed on the city’s Facebook page.
