The Mount Union Cemetery Association’s annual meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Philomath Community Library, the organization announced.

Janet Cornelius, Mount Union Cemetery Association board chair, said those who own burial sites are automatically members of the organization and she encourages them to attend the meeting to participate in the management and care of the cemetery.

However, she added, the meeting is also open to the general public.

“Come meet others who value Mount Union Cemetery and contribute your ideas and enthusiasm to preserving and improving the cemetery,” she said.

The Mount Union Cemetery Association’s charter requires that an annual meeting be held each November. The library is located at 1050 Applegate St., and the meeting room is to the left after coming in through the front entrance.
