The Philomath School Board plans to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in Philomath High School’s Community Conference Room for its regular monthly meeting with an agenda that includes updates on a district improvement plan and strategic plan.
The strategy and discussion portion of the meeting also includes updates on safety and security, a review of Clemens Community Pool usage agreements and a look at the district’s Integrated Guidance Plan, which stems from a state initiative launched last year.
Also on the agenda for the Nov. 14 meeting, the board will set a date for a joint meeting with the Kings Valley Charter School board and vote on various Oregon School Boards Association-related resolutions.
Christopher Jacobs, Corvallis-Benton County Economic Development manager, is scheduled to speak to the board about the Enterprise Zone school support fee with a resolution in place to consider.
Eric Beasley, Philomath Elementary and Blodgett Elementary principal, is also scheduled to speak during the reports section of the meeting. Also included are opportunities for reports from the school superintendent, business manager, student government and employee associations.
The board is scheduled to begin the evening at 6 p.m. in executive session as allowed by law for a personnel-related review or evaluation.
The Community Conference Room is located to the right inside the high school’s front entrance. Meetings are also streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
