Philomath High School’s girls basketball team will wait an extra three days to meet St. Helens on the home court in a play-in game. Officials opted to postpone the contest until Monday, Feb. 27 with the tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
The winner will advance to the Class 4A state playoffs.
The No. 10-seeded Warriors will bring an overall record of 15-7 into the contest while No. 23 St. Helens, the fourth-place team in the Cowapa League, comes in at 7-17.
The rest of the play-in schedule shows Seaside at Mazama, Klamath Union at Stayton, The Dalles at Junction City and Phoenix at Crook County on Saturday; and Newport at Scappoose, Molalla at Pendleton and Hidden Valley at Madras on Monday.
The 4A playoffs open with first-round games scheduled for March 3.
