For the second time this season, a boys volleyball match between Philomath High and Crosshill Christian came down to a fifth set to 15 points. And for the second time, the Eagles pulled out a victory.

Playing in the PHS gym, Crosshill Christian notched the victory, 20-25, 25-19, 25-18, 24-26, 15-7.

The Warriors drop to 4-6 overall, 3-5 in Special District 3. The team out of Turner is currently sitting in fifth place in the league standings.

Crosshill Christian, 8-2 overall and 6-2, has won three straight matches.

Philomath is scheduled to play its next match at 6 p.m. Monday at home against Western Christian.
