FRIDAY, JULY 31
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included an extra patrol at 2:36 p.m. (South Ninth Street), welfare check at 5:17 p.m. (North 12th Street), bike traffic at 5:47 p.m. (North 12th Street and Adams Street) and a mental health issue at 6:16 p.m. In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 8:15 a.m. (Quail Glenn Drive). PPD reported no traffic stops.
SATURDAY, AUG. 1
• 2:42 p.m. — Police responded to the 100 block of South 20th Street for a report of the theft of a vehicle license plate.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 10:18 a.m. (Highway 20 and Mustang Lane), welfare check at 11:51 a.m. (Highway 20 and Woods Creek Road), verbal argument at 12:37 p.m. (Cooper Lane) and motorist assistance at 8:55 p.m. (Southwest 53rd Street and Southwest Touchstone Place, Corvallis). PPD reported two traffic stops.
SUNDAY, AUG. 2
• 11:14 a.m. — Police responded to the 1000 block of Applegate Street for a report of theft involving a missing backpack that included a man’s wallet and phone. The man believed the backpack had been stolen from a booth where he had been sitting. Police reviewed camera footage and were able to see where the man had misplaced the backpack and located it inside the booth. The theft report was canceled.
• 12:04 p.m. — Police arrested a 54-year-old Blodgett man on misdemeanor charges of failure to perform the duties of a driver with property damage following a report of a hit-and-run in the 1700 block of College Street. The man was transported to Benton County Jail.
Other calls: Police responses included a dog at large at 8:07 p.m. (Newton Street and Main Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 12:12 a.m. (Highway 20, Blodgett) and 7:10 p.m. (Highway 20 and Shrike Way). PPD reported one traffic stop.
MONDAY, AUG. 3
• 9:12 a.m. — Police arrested a 41-year-old Corvallis woman on a warrant for failure to appear in court after she turned herself in at the police department. The woman was cited and released.
Other calls: Police responses included a report of a squirrel in distress at 8:37 a.m. (Philomath High School), trespassing at 12:42 p.m. (Main Street), trespassed from Philomath Connection bus at 1:32 p.m. (Newton Street and James Street) and harassment at 2:22 p.m. (South 19th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 3:32 p.m. (Highway 20 and Priest Road). PPD reported one traffic stop.
TUESDAY, AUG. 4
• 8:59 p.m. — Police responded to an armed disturbance and reported that the woman involved was transported by medics to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and placed on a peace officer mental hold.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 9:27 a.m. (Newton Place), welfare check at 3:26 p.m. (Main Street and Newton Street), citizen contact at 4:51 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a mental health issue at 6:02 p.m. PPD reported no traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 5
• 7:54 a.m. — Police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office with a driving under the influence of intoxicants investigation at West Hills Drive and North Ninth Street. The incident led to the arrest by BCSO of a 49-year-old Philomath man on misdemeanor charges of DUII (alcohol .15 through .19) and driving while license suspended.
• 1:31 p.m. — Police arrested a woman (age and city of residence not reported) on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless endangerment during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of North 19th Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a parking complaint at 10 a.m. (Main Street), argument at 5:07 p.m. (Philomath Police Station), disabled vehicle at 5:44 p.m. (Main Street and South 20th Street), mental health incident at 5:53 p.m., and a welfare check at 6:48 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported three traffic stops.
THURSDAY, AUG. 6
• 2:26 p.m. — Police took a report in the police station’s lobby on the theft of a trash can that had occurred two years ago from a residence in the 2500 block of Newton Street.
• 5:19 p.m. — Police responded to the misuse of the 911 system in the 1700 block of Pioneer Street involving a caller who was reporting that their mom had woken them up.
Other calls: Police responses included a dog complaint at 1:23 a.m. (North Ninth Street and Pioneer Street) and a city ordinance violation at 1:35 p.m. (North 14th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 5:32 a.m. (Southwest Country Club Drive, Corvallis). PPD reported seven traffic stops.
