SATURDAY, AUG. 1
• 6:15 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm activation in the 3000 block of Main Street.
• 11:41 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a smoke investigation in the 25090 block of Grange Hall Road.
SUNDAY, AUG. 2
• 12:09 a.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a semitruck crash reportedly with injuries on Highway 20 near Blitz Lane in Blodgett and responded with five personnel in an engine and a command vehicle. After the initial crash, a vehicle then hit the semitruck, which was overturned and blocking the highway, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office reported. While en route, crews were advised no extrication was needed and were canceled by Blodgett-Summit Rural Fire Protection District command. BCSO reported that neither driver suffered serious injuries.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 5:51 a.m. (Southwest Randall Way, Corvallis) and 9:16 p.m. (Quail Glenn Drive).
MONDAY, AUG. 3
• 12:40 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a smoke investigation on Starr Creek Road and responded with five personnel in an engine, a brush truck and a command vehicle. Crews were unable to locate signs of fire in the area; smoke had been drifting in from fires burning elsewhere in the state.
• 3:31 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 20 and Priest Road and responded with nine personnel in an engine, a brush truck and two command vehicles. Crews found a single vehicle on its side with one occupant; the scene was turned over to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

TUESDAY, AUG. 4

• 12:34 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to an all-county fire response on Old River Road (near milepost 8) and responded with three personnel in a brush truck and a command vehicle. While en route, crews were canceled to assist with a wheat field fire in Monroe Rural Fire Protection District.
