DAILY REPORTS

FRIDAY, JUNE 7

• 11:45 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a city of Philomath banner that was stolen from a Pacific Power utility pole near Philomath Fire and Rescue. Police later learned that the banner had been blown off the pole from wind and had been located. The banner was returned to City Hall.

• 12:52 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at 12:50 p.m. in the 2600 block of Applegate Street involving a vehicle that crashed into a parked truck with the impact pushing the truck into a third parked vehicle. According to a report on the crash, a 16-year-old driver was heading west on Applegate Street in a Honda Odyssey van when his two dogs jumped into the driver’s side area of the front seat. The distraction led to the van crashing into a parked Ford F-350, which in turn was forced forward into a Ford Explorer — both vehicles owned by the same person. All three vehicles were damaged. No injuries were reported.

• 4:26 p.m. — Police reported that a stolen vehicle had been recovered but offered no additional details.

Other calls: Police responses included a parking complaint at 8:20 a.m. (South 24th Street and Applegate Street), parking complaint at 10:08 a.m. (Applegate Street), noncriminal issue at 6:57 p.m. (South 11th Street) and citizen assistance at 7:37 p.m. (South 13th Street). PPD reported zero traffic stops.

SATURDAY, JUNE 8

• 1:27 p.m. — Police arrested a 36-year-old Philomath man on a contempt-of-court warrant at a location on College Street.

Other calls: Police responses included unsecured premises at 2:37 a.m. (Avondale Place), criminal mischief at 9:09 a.m. (South 13th Street) and a civil dispute at 9:45 p.m. (Maple Street). PPD reported 10 traffic stops.

SUNDAY, JUNE 9

• 2:10 a.m. — Police responded to a report of driving under the influence in the 5700 block of Southwest Reservoir Avenue, Corvallis. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicion person at 11:49 a.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a crash at 5:48 a.m. (Highway 20 and Mustang Lane). PPD reported 16 traffic stops.

MONDAY, JUNE 10

• 9:56 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Main Street. No injuries were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a dog at large at 3:31 a.m. (North 18th Street), animal found at 8:56 a.m. (Grant Street), criminal mischief at 10:25 a.m. (Applegate Street), property found at 11:15 a.m. (Main Street), parking complaint at 2:57 p.m. (North 14th Street and College Street), citizen assistance at 3:01 p.m. (Mount Union Avenue), citizen contact at 4:19 p.m. (Main Street and South Seventh Street), suspicious circumstance at 4:38 p.m. (South 16th Street) and reckless driving (South 26th Street and Applegate Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 2:42 a.m. (Main Street and Clemens Mill Road). PPD reported two traffic stops.

TUESDAY, JUNE 11

• 2:12 p.m. — Police arrested a 30-year-old Albany man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended during a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Main Street.

• 3:57 p.m. — Police responded to a report involving a student who was verbally assaulted by an adult in the Philomath High School parking lot.

• 4:39 p.m. — Police responded to a report of fraud in the 1900 block of Main Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

• 6:16 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the 1700 block of College Street involving a vehicle that was damaged while parked in a driveway.

Other calls: Police responses included a suicidal subject at 8:07 a.m. and a welfare check at 9:18 a.m. (North 16th Lane). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 5:52 a.m. (Fern Road). PPD reported zero traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12

• 6:24 p.m. — Police responded to a crash in the 2300 block of Main Street involving a vehicle that had made an illegal U-turn and got high-centered on a curb. Prior to the arrival of police, the driver had called a tow truck and was just getting pulled out upon arrival. No property damage was reported.

Other calls: Police responses included extra patrol at 9:19 a.m. (Applegate Street), extra patrol at 11:26 a.m. (South 19th Street), noise disturbance at 1:45 p.m. (South 23rd Street), event detail at 2:56 p.m. (Applegate Street), parking complaint at 3:25 p.m. (North 11th Street) and a parking complaint at 4:02 p.m. (South Eighth Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.

THURSDAY, JUNE 13

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 3:17 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted the Corvallis Police Department on a call at 3:08 a.m. (Northwest Third Street, Corvallis). PPD reported zero traffic stops.
