The Philomath School Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget, follow with any points of discussion and take a vote on adopting the $54.2 million plan for the 2024-25 fiscal year and setting tax levy rates during a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The board must approve its 2024-25 budget prior to June 30.
Also on the agenda for the June 20 meeting are items involving a board self-evaluation, labor negotiations, the summer meeting schedule, a resolution to appropriate funding from higher-than-expected interest income and votes on numerous policy updates.
Board members will begin the evening at 6 p.m. in executive session as allowed by law. The open meeting’s agenda includes an item related to discussion from the executive session.
The Philomath School District office is located at 1620 Applegate St., with access to the meeting through a door at the back of the building. Meetings are also streamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
