DAILY REPORTS

FRIDAY, DEC. 20

• 2:57 p.m. — Police arrested a 39-year-old Philomath man on a misdemeanor charge of reckless burning following an incident at a bus shelter at Main Street and 14th Street. Philomath Fire and Rescue responded and reported that the man had allegedly set on fire a bus schedule that was taped to the inside of the shelter.

• 5:05 p.m. — Police arrested a 35-year-old Corvallis man in the 1700 block of Main Street on a warrant for contempt of court. In lieu of custody, the man was issued citations.

• 10:28 p.m. — Police arrested a 58-year-old Philomath man at College Street and North 17th Street on an active warrant. No other information was provided.

Other calls: Police responses included a non-criminal issue at 12:03 p.m. (Pioneer Street) and a report of lost property at 12:06 p.m. (North 15th Street). PPD reported 13 traffic stops.

SATURDAY, DEC. 21

• 1:08 a.m. — Police arrested a 32-year-old Philomath woman on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol .15 through .19) during a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Southwest 53rd Street in Corvallis.

• 4:47 a.m. — Police arrested a 34-year-old Stevenson, Washington, man at Green Street and South 26th Street on an active warrant. No other information was provided.

• 5:16 a.m. — Police arrested a 40-year-old Corvallis woman on a misdemeanor charge of depositing lighted material on land/highway littering at Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest 35th Street in Corvallis. The woman allegedly threw a lit cigarette out of the vehicle’s window.

• 8 p.m. — Police assisted other agencies at the scene of a house fire in the 24800 block of Evergreen Road. See Philomath Fire and Rescue Calls for details.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious vehicle at 6:29 a.m. (South 10th Street and Applegate Street), lost property at 9:40 a.m. (North 15th Street), mental health situation at 4:08 p.m. (North 15th Street), traffic hazard at 6:29 p.m. (South 31st Street and Applegate Street), event detail at 6:37 p.m. (South 19th Street and Applegate Street), traffic hazard at 10:37 p.m. (Highway 34 near milepost 50). PPD reported 13 traffic stops.

SUNDAY, DEC. 22

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a repossessed vehicle at 1:49 a.m. (College Street), report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at 11:30 a.m. (College Street) and a domestic disturbance at 10:46 p.m. (North 12th Street). PPD reported five traffic stops.

MONDAY, DEC. 23

• 9:16 a.m. — Police responded to a situation involving a vehicle that had been purchased at an auction but had reportedly been stolen, something the buyer learned when attempting to register it. Police determined that the vehicle indeed belonged to the person attempting to register it and it was removed from being listed as stolen.

Other calls: Police responses included a dog barking at 1:28 p.m. (Pioneer Street). PPD reported six traffic stops.

TUESDAY, DEC. 24

• 7:49 a.m. — Police responded to a crash at West Hills Road and North Ninth Street. No injuries were reported.

• 8:29 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a package that had been stolen from a residence on Pioneer Street. The recipient later contacted police to report that it had just been delivered late.

Other calls: Police responses included motorist assistance at 5:49 a.m. (Main Street and North 17th Street), citizen assistance at 10:37 a.m. (North 14th Street) and a dog at large at 11:03 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported 12 traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 25

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 1:08 p.m. (North Eighth Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 1:06 a.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest 53rd Street, Corvallis) and 7:59 p.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest Country Club Drive, Corvallis). PPD reported 14 traffic stops.

THURSDAY, DEC. 26

• 10:17 a.m. — Police investigated a garbage can fire in the 600 block of South 16th Street on a call that involved Philomath Fire and Rescue. The fire had been extinguished by residents. The home’s occupants reported that no flammable materials had been placed in the trash.

• 11:43 a.m. — Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Woods Creek Road. The driver, the vehicle’s only occupant, was reportedly not injured. Philomath Police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious circumstance at 12:05 a.m. (South 18th Street), parking complaint at 12:22 p.m. (South 10th Street), report of theft at 4:26 p.m. (Applegate Street) and citizen contact at 11:51 p.m. (Applegate Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 10:17 a.m. (South 16th Street). PPD reported 15 traffic stops.
