FRIDAY, DEC. 20
• 2:56 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at the Philomath Connection bus stop at Main Street and 14th Street. According to reports, a 39-year-old man burned a bus schedule that was taped to the inside of the shelter but it did not become a full fire. The scene was turned over to the Philomath Police Department as a criminal matter. A 39-year-old Philomath man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of reckless burning.

SATURDAY, DEC. 21
• 7:59 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a rural house fire on Evergreen Road south and west of Philomath. Arriving to find heavy fire and smoke coming from second-story windows, the blaze was extinguished in the house’s attic space. The house was reportedly unoccupied in the midst of a remodeling project. Philomath Fire and Rescue, Corvallis Fire Department, Adair Rural Fire and Rescue, Hoskins-Kings Valley Rural Fire and Blodgett-Summit Rural Fire all responded to the scene.

• 11:09 a.m. — Firefighters went on standby at the Benton County Fairgrounds for the Corvallis Fire Department.

TUESDAY, DEC. 24
• 4:54 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 1600 block of Pioneer Street.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 1:03 p.m. (Acorn Court).
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 25
• No calls of public significance reported.

THURSDAY, DEC. 26
• 10:08 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a garbage can fire in the 600 block of South 16th Street. The fire was extinguished by water from the residence. The home’s occupants reported no flammable materials had been placed in the trash. Philomath Police responded to the scene to investigate.
• 11:43 a.m. — Emergency medical services personnel responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Woods Creek Road. The driver, the vehicle’s only occupant, was reportedly not injured. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
