DAILY REPORTS
FRIDAY, MAY 3
• 5:19 p.m. — Police responded to a harassment call in the 500 block of North 12th Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
• 9:12 p.m. — Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of South 13th Street and Cedar Street. Police reviewed video, which confirmed that a gunshot could be heard. A report was taken and assigned a case number.
Other calls: Police responses included citizen assistance at 8:02 a.m. (Main Street), suspicious circumstance at 12:41 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a report of fraud at 1:24 p.m. (South 19th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 12:56 a.m. (Main Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.
SATURDAY, MAY 4
• 2:16 p.m. — Police responded to a reported violation of an order in the 200 block of South 13th Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
• 4:29 p.m. — Police arrested a 36-year-old Portland man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended during a traffic stop for speeding on South 13th Street.
Other calls: Police responses included found property at 10 a.m. (Applegate Street), animal complaint at 8:50 p.m. (Highway 20/34) and a found dog at 9:28 p.m. (North 19th Street and Main Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 1:55 a.m. (Old Peak Road) and Philomath Fire and Rescue on a call at 3:07 a.m. (North 18th Street). PPD reported three traffic stops.
SUNDAY, MAY 5
• 5 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a robbery at North 14th Street and Main Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
• 9:17 p.m. — Police arrested a 65-year-old Corvallis man in the 1700 block of Main Street on a warrant for contempt of court.
• 9:32 p.m. — Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of South 15th Street that involved a verbal argument only with no physical contact.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious circumstance at 12:49 a.m. (South 11th Street), welfare check at 11:17 p.m. (Pioneer Street) and a traffic hazard at 11:55 p.m. (Highway 20/34). PPD reported six traffic stops.
MONDAY, MAY 6
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious vehicle at 1:33 a.m. (North 19th Street), parking complaint at 3:27 p.m. (Willowbrook Drive) and a suspicious vehicle at 11:37 p.m. (James Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 6:35 p.m. (McCall Way). PPD reported three traffic stops.
TUESDAY, MAY 7
• 2:51 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the McDonald’s parking lot involving an Amazon delivery van and a pickup truck. A woman who was at the wheel of the pickup told police that the vehicle accelerated on its own as she attempted to apply the brakes while doing a U-turn. The pickup crashed over a curb, hit some bushes and collided with a legally-parked delivery van. The woman reported back pain from the crash but refused transportation to the hospital. The delivery van’s driver was inside McDonald’s at the time of the incident.
• 6:37 p.m. — Police responded to a report of shots heard in the vicinity of Melvill Cres and Sunshine Avenue. A report was not filed.
Other calls: Police responses included an event detail at 7:51 a.m. (Applegate Street), disabled vehicle at 6:43 p.m. (Main Street) and a welfare check at 9:37 p.m. (North Seventh Street). In addition, police assisted the Corvallis Police Department on a call at 1:46 a.m. (Southwest Philomath Boulevard). PPD reported six traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 8
• 10 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run at Main Street and Clemens Mill Road. No other information was provided.
• 12:49 p.m. — Police arrested a 59-year-old Corvallis man on a warrant for contempt of court during a traffic stop at Main Street and South 24th Street.
Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 7:23 p.m. (Adelaide Drive), noncriminal issue at 8:32 p.m. (North 18th Street and College Street) and a city ordinance violation at 11:04 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported five traffic stops.
THURSDAY, MAY 9
