VOLUME 7, NUMBER 192
Wednesday, September 2, 2026
Good morning, Philomath.
An event that celebrated the volunteerism of Dale Collins while officially renaming the park that carries his name occurred yesterday and his family was among those in attendance. Philomath soccer and volleyball teams had a difficult time against Marist Catholic — the girls soccer team lost at home, 7-0; the boys soccer team lost on the road, 2-0; and the volleyball team lost on the road in three sets. Coverage includes a gallery from the girls soccer game. This week’s Mount Union Stories is about a Civil War veteran who died in 1911. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
