Good morning, Philomath.

Cameron and Jessica McLennan, twins from Philomath who graduated in June, are closing out their 4-H run this week at the Benton County Fair and we have a feature by reporter Ellie Webb-Bowen. Philomath Police will host National Night Out this coming Tuesday and we have a preview of what has become a popular event through the years. The latest OSP Log reports on three highway fatalities. The city is bringing back the Philomath Citizens’ Academy this fall. From our partner content, Oregon Journalism Project has a piece on a group of Democrats that want Janelle Bynum to resign from the U.S. House and Oregon Capital Chronicle reports on the Oregon Department of Transportation’s $200 budget gap. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
