Good morning, Philomath.

The Philomath City Council on Monday night took a second and final vote and approved an ordinance to establish a police services fee and then set the fee at $5. The annual Junior Warriors Soccer Camp is coming up Aug. 10-13. The museum is offering docent-led tours for its “Centuries of Celebration” exhibit. Benton Area Transit is surveying rural residents. Justina Newton is this week’s Mount Union Stories subject. Siuslaw National Forest has extended a comment period on a recreation fee proposal. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
