Here’s a look back at the top stories of this past week. Philomath teen Jessica McLennan earned the 2026 Benton County Fair and Rodeo queen title. Philomath Police hosted National Night Out. A new group with Philomath seniors in mind has been organized. A Warrior Watch sports column leads off with cross-country. U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden will bring his Benton County town hall back to Philomath. Marys River Grange wants you to clean out the garage and bring items to be sold at their Amazing Grange Day sale. And we have the story of a new exhibit at Philomath Museum. And don’t forget that today’s farmers’ market was canceled because of the heat. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
