The season-ending Music in the Park concert at Philomath City Park is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday with a performance by Blood on the Plow.
A John Cougar Mellencamp tribute band, the group features Jerry Coe (lead singer, harmonica), Billy Lakey (lead guitar), Pat O’Connor (rhythm guitar, backup vocals), Mike Riley (bass), Brian Diep (violin, cello) and Lawrence Hartman (drums, cajon).
The city’s free concerts are staged in the Randy Kugler Community Hall and gazebo area. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
In addition to the city, the Philomath Area Chamber of Commerce and the Philomath Lions Club are hosting the event. The chamber will be staging a Business After Hours event with food and snacks provided.
