• 4:19 a.m. — Firefighters responded to the activation of a fire alarm in the 300 block of South 18th Street.

SUNDAY, AUG. 31

• 3:51 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a small fire in landscaping near an alley on 13th Street between Main and College streets. Crews arrived to extinguish a small bark dust fire that had gotten into a log.
