Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.

FRIDAY, AUG. 29

• 9:05 a.m. — Police responded to a report of the theft of a Caterpillar G Grader in the 1200 block of Houser Lane. Police reported that as of Friday, there were no suspects.

Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 8:58 a.m. (Newton Street), city ordinance violation at 2:27 p.m. (Coastal View Drive and Pioneer Street), abandoned vehicle at 2:29 p.m. (Adelaide Drive), possible neglect at 5:51 p.m. (South 13th Street) and an unknown problem involving engines revving and yelling at 7:48 p.m. (South 14th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 1:30 a.m. (North Eighth Street). PPD reported 10 traffic stops.

SATURDAY, AUG. 30

• 1:09 p.m. — Police arrested Dylan Sanford Wambolt, 27, of Corvallis, on a felony charge of violating a restraining order.

• 2:09 p.m. — Police performed a death investigation of a 70-year-old man in the 300 block of North 16th Lane.

• 4:26 p.m. — Police took a report of a suspicious circumstance involving someone who wanted to notify law enforcement about a male who created a nonprofit organization to raise money for people overseas.

Other calls: Police responses included a dog at large at 9:09 a.m. (Main Street), welfare check at 4:01 p.m. (College Street), suspicious person at 8:03 p.m. (Philomath City Park) and dogs barking at 9:55 p.m. (Monroe Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.

SUNDAY, AUG. 31

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a city ordinance violation at 8:35 a.m. (Starker Place and South 19th Street) and a report of a suicidal person at 3:42 p.m. PPD reported eight traffic stops.

MONDAY, SEPT. 1

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a verbal disturbance at 11:38 a.m. (Pioneer Street) and a welfare check at 4:10 p.m. (Joseph Lane). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 12:46 p.m. (Southeast Crystal Lake Drive, Corvallis). PPD reported 11 traffic stops.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 2

• No calls of significance were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included citizen assistance at 2:23 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a welfare check at 10:57 p.m. (South 16th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 5:11 a.m. (Decker Road and Ervin Road). PPD reported two traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 3

• 12:39 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a crash involving two vehicles in the Philomath High School parking lot. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were operable.

Other calls: Police responses included an abandoned vehicle at 10:05 a.m. (Applegate Street), traffic complaint at 12:47 p.m. (Applegate Street) and a noise disturbance at 9:06 p.m. (North 16th Street and College Street). PPD reported six traffic stops.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 4

• 1:52 p.m. — Police responded to the 100 block of South 20th Street regarding a stolen bicycle. The victim reported that the bicycle is tan in color and has an “I love the library” sticker affixed to it.

• 3:01 p.m. — Police responded to the 1300 block of College Street regarding a report of theft of service from a dumpster.

Other calls: Police responses included a report of threats made at 10:10 a.m. (Pioneer Street), parking complaint at 2:54 p.m. (Cedar Street), welfare check at 3:16 p.m. (Pioneer Street), domestic disturbance at 4:51 p.m. (Pioneer Street) and citizen contact at 11:35 p.m. (North 19th Street).
