To the Editor:
I’d like to take a moment to salute the men and women working on the Philomath Streetscapes project.
As I drove down Applegate this morning (Wednesday), watching them hard at work in the pouring rain, I wanted to thank them for their service. They have been building infrastructure here in our town in the blazing sun on the hottest days of summer, in below-freezing temperatures last week and now in the wettest days of the year.
Our whole downtown is a giant construction zone right now, but next year it’s gonna look amazing and we have the tenacity and conscientiousness of these people to thank for it.
I hope they know how much we appreciate their efforts.
