Oregon State University Theatre will present “A Christmas Carol: A 1940s Radio Show” for four evening performances Thursday through Sunday at Compton Family Wines in Philomath. Each performance is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

A new twist on a holiday classic by Thomas Nabhan, the play combines Charles Dickens’s holiday tale with the 1940s era.

“The radio studio at KSL is filled with holiday cheer, excepting their very own Scrooge,” OSU Theatre’s description of the show reads. “Will the annual radio show be filled with humbug, or will holiday spirits prevail?”

The production is directed by guest artist Tara Wibrew. The ensemble cast features OSU students Dylan Danielson, Hannah Ford, Addison Hoppe, E.J. Penny and Rory Tegen.

Tickets, which are available online or by calling the OSU Theatre’s box office (541-217-3921), are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors and youth and $5 for OSU students.

Compton Family Wines is located at 810 Applegate St.
