TUESDAY, OCT. 8
• 3:35 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a broken half-inch residential gas line in the 600 block of Willowbrook Drive. The gas line had been ruptured by contractors working on landscaping. The work commenced after location service marks had been washed away. NW Natural responded to repair the line.

THURSDAY, OCT. 10
• 10:01 p.m. — Firefighters responded to an illegal burn in the 1000 block of North 19th Street. Fire and Rescue reported that the fire was unattended with no water supply and that painted wood was being burned. Fire crews extinguished the fire. Officials remind the public that open burning season is not open in Benton County.
