DAILY REPORTS

FRIDAY, OCT. 4

• 1:46 p.m. — Police responded to a disturbance at Philomath Community Library involving an incident during a child custody transfer between parents.

Other calls: Police responses included a mental health situation at 2:40 a.m. (Newton Street), suspicious person at 8:04 a.m. (Applegate Street and South 14th Street), domestic disturbance at 8:36 a.m. (South Ninth Street and Applegate Street), civil dispute at 5:56 p.m. (North 19th Street), suspicious vehicle at 7:37 p.m. (Maple Street), civil dispute at 7:40 p.m. (South 18th Street) and a lost dog at 10:03 p.m. (Dampier Drive). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 10:12 a.m. (South 17th Street) and 10:30 a.m. (McCall Way). PPD reported no traffic stops.

SATURDAY, OCT. 5

• 4:08 p.m. — Police responded to a report of the unlawful discharge of a weapon in the 2400 block of Newton Street. Police interviewed the resident at the front door of the police station who reported that he had accidentally discharged his 9-mm pistol inside his residence.

Other calls: Police responses included trespassing at 8:24 a.m. (Main Street), trespassing at 11:41 a.m. (Main Street), cat complaint at 1:10 p.m. (North Eighth Street) and a noncriminal issue at 4:46 p.m. (Pioneer Street. In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 10:58 p.m. (North 19th Street and Industrial Way). PPD reported nine traffic stops.

SUNDAY, OCT. 6

• 11:42 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a sex-related offense. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

Other calls: Police responses included disorderly conduct at 3:43 a.m. (Main Street), trespassing at 7:26 a.m. (Applegate Street) and a city ordinance violation at 8:43 a.m. (Pioneer Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 2:05 a.m. (Main Street and North 17th Street). PPD reported eight traffic stops.

MONDAY, OCT. 7

• 2:23 a.m. — Police arrested a 35-year-old Salem man at Main Street and South 26th Street on two warrants out of Marion County for failure to appear on criminal citations. The man was cited in lieu of custody.

• 3:22 a.m. — Police arrested a 31-year-old Eugene woman on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol .15 through .19) during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Main Street.

• 5:45 a.m. — Police trespassed a 67-year-old man from a parking lot at the southeast corner of Main Street and South 19th Street.

• 10:37 a.m. — Police responded to a report of the theft of political signs from a residence’s front yard on North 11th Street.

Other calls: Police responses included a narcotics offense at 7:21 p.m. (North 11th Street and Pioneer Street) and the report of a prowler at 11:56 p.m. (South 30th Street). PPD reported three traffic stops.

TUESDAY, OCT. 8

• 4:36 p.m. — Police arrested a 57-year-old Corvallis woman in the 100 block of Northwest Fourth Street in Corvallis on a warrant for failure to appear.

• 8:07 p.m. — Police arrested a 59-year-old Philomath man on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol or drugs not indicated) during a traffic stop at Green Street and South 26th Street.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious circumstance at 8:30 a.m. (Main Street), non-911 issue at 10:40 a.m. (College Street and Main Street), phone harassment at a business at 11:36 a.m. (Main Street), dog bite at 2:08 p.m. (Pioneer Street), suspicious person at 8:03 p.m. (North 19th Street and Main Street) and a suspicious circumstance at 10:13 p.m. (North 18th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on calls at 4:31 p.m. (Northwest Fourth Street, Corvallis) and 7:13 p.m. (Highway 20 and Shrike Way). PPD reported one traffic stop.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 9

• 4:20 p.m. — Police responded to a report of the theft of political signs from a residence’s front yard on Pioneer Street.

Other calls: Police responses included bike traffic at 2:02 a.m. (Main Street and North 15th Street), found property at 10:49 a.m. (Main Street) and a traffic hazard at 4:31 p.m. (Applegate Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 8:30 p.m. (Hidden Valley Road). PPD reported no traffic stops.

THURSDAY, OCT. 10

• 3:36 p.m. — Police responded to a report of shoplifting at a business in the 600 block of Main Street. 

• 5:16 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at North 10th Street and Main Street. No injuries were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a suspicious vehicle at 10:37 a.m. (South 13th Street), suspicious vehicle at 10:43 a.m. (Main Street), abandoned vehicle at 1:16 p.m. (Applegate Street), traffic hazard at 2:06 p.m. (Newton Street), welfare check at 2:35 p.m. (Main Street) and citizen contact at 11:45 p.m. (Applegate Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 10 a.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported no traffic stops.
