Good morning, Philomath.

Two city properties on target to be developed were on the agenda at the Sept. 14 council meeting. Philomath High’s girls soccer team scored two quick goals and then held on to beat Molalla on Thursday. Coverage includes a photo gallery. The boys soccer team lost on the road, 6-4. A buck deer was killed with a spear in Benton County and investigators need help identifying the person responsible. We have a death notice for a 79-year-old Philomath resident. From Oregon Capital Chronicle, exciting news for those who love riding the train. Don’t forget — the Warriors host Molalla tonight at 7. Arrive early to catch a pregame program on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, which includes remembrance of a local lost at sea during World War II. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
