
Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife troopers are asking for the public’s help identifying whoever is responsible for spearing a buck deer near Monroe and leaving it to waste.
Troopers responded Sept. 9 to a report of a dead buck deer on private property near Cox Lane and Foster Road outside Monroe, according to OSP. When troopers arrived, they found the buck with a spear still lodged in the animal.
OSP is asking anyone with information about the incident, or who noticed suspicious activity in the area, to call the Turn In Poachers (TIP) hotline at 1-800-452-7888 or dial *OSP (*677) from a mobile phone. Tips can be submitted anonymously. Callers should reference case number SP26-295930.
