MONDAY, AUG. 31
• 2:54 a.m. — A 24-year-old Newport woman was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (blood alcohol content of .15 through .19) following a traffic stop near Main Street and 17th Street. She was cited and released to a sober driver.
