VOLUME 7, NUMBER 137
Wednesday, June 24, 2026
Good morning, Philomath.
The Philomath City Council worked its way to adoption of the 2026-27 fiscal year budget on Monday night with the city fee for police services again discussed. Councilors also approved a public works union contract and pay schedules for nonrepresented and management employees. PYAC has opened registration for fall sports. A family’s tragedy is chronicled in this week’s Mount Union Stories. Among the partner content pieces, Oregon Journalism Project has an interesting report on alcohol-related deaths in certain cities. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
