The Philomath Planning Commission plans to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall with an agenda that includes updates to proposed zoning map and development code language changes, tasks that its members have been working on over the past 18 months.
According to agenda item summaries, the zoning map was updated after the city had received requests from several property owners during outreach events in recent months. Code updates were also completed. The proposed changes are expected to go before the commission this spring through a formal public hearing.
Also at the meeting, the commission will elect a chair and vice chair for 2024. The Planning Commission includes John Barlow, Kyle Cupp, Van Hunsaker, Josiah Jessen, Timothy Melott, Sarah J. Coulter Mitchell and Darlene Rose.
In addition, the meeting agenda includes time for announcements and staff updates.
For those not attending in person at City Hall, the meeting is scheduled to be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
